What You'll Get to Do:

As a Staff Product Design Engineer, you will work in a new product development environment that support a wide variety of plastic labware products from concept to launch. Your ideas will bring new products to life as you collaborate with other design engineers, process development engineers, product managers and project leaders to develop plastic products for life science, medical device, laboratory, diagnostic and consumer markets. How You'll Make a Difference:

Partner with Great Coworkers: As part of a diverse project team you will lead design activities including developing product requirements, concepts and analysis, product verification, and sustaining activities. Present your work and results at technical design reviews. Play a meaningful role in projects with strong technical leadership.

R&D Leadership: Seek out new technologies and extract value for our products and manufacturing processes, build engineering design standards and role model usage.

Design Analysis and Simulation: Complete tolerance stack-up analysis and design simulations, including FEA. Make arithmetic computations using standard formulas, calculate dimensions and tolerances, and perform prototype testing.

Solid Model Design: Use Solifworks to develop solid models that achieve design requirements using best design practices and industry design standards.

Regulated Markets: Product development per ISO 13485 for direct medical device regulated markets and for upstream applications

Sustaining Product Support: Engage with our existing on-market product portfolio and enable them to continue to meet customer, regulatory, and manufacturing needs through sustaining activities. Benchmark competitor products to understand and position ours within the market

Minimum Requirements:

Education

  • B.S. minimum in Mechanical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering or related field with minimum 7 years product development experience. Equivalent combination of education and years of related experience may be substituted.

Experience

  • Experience with mechanical drafting standards and CAD
  • Strong proficiency with analysis methods
  • Proven track record of applying problem solving tools and making data driven decisions
  • Proven technical leadership
  • Travel domestically and internationally (up to 10% of the time)

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $103,100.00-$154,700.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
