Job Description

Senior Operator

Paisley

Rotational weekly Shifts Monday to Friday: 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm - 10pm - 6am

To perform warehousing duties across goods receiving, storage control and material handling processes. Responsible for ensuring that the daily requirements for the manufacture of cell culture media, serum and reagents are met and that performance expectations are achieved on a constant basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Manufacturing experience in a smilar role essential
  • Must have previous cleanroom experience must wear full PPE
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft office suite Excel, Word and Power BI
  • Proactively prioritizes needs and effectively leads resources.
  • Can establish and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, written, oral and PC Skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary
  • An attention to detail with the ability to perform under pressure and to deadlines
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Liaising with various partners to resolve any queries or issues
  • Work within Health and Safety guidelines, performing all duties in a safe & efficient manner, ensuring housekeeping standards are met
  • May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

Education:

Must possess a National 5 Grade B or better in Math's and English and in at least one Science based subject. Relevant inventory management experience will be considered as a suitable alternative.

Experience:

Experience in a similar industry is essential with at proven experience spent working in a high throughput manufacturing environment. Individual must show a passion for this type of work and this industry and must be driven to continuously improve and fully engage in any initiatives that the team undertakes to make things better.

Contacts:

Has contact with all Cell Culture employees. Will liaise extensively with all other departments on matters relating to quality and service in order to uphold the Company's commitment to Customer satisfaction. This involves working with people at all levels within the organization as well as external customers and regulatory bodies.

Working Conditions:

Works within a manufacturing environment. Can be required to lift up to 25kg. May be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials. Required to work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures including room temperature, 2-8 cold room and -15 to -20. Must be able to work overtime and flexible shift patterns.
