Sr Manager, Chemistry

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D Senior Manager to join our Particle Technology R&D team in Norway.
Position Summary
As an R&D Senior Manager, Chemistry, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and identifying novel approaches to drive development and execution of new ideas. You will be part of the Norway R&D Leadership Team, and you will be leading and inspiring a team of 11-12 scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth mindsets, and trust.

Responsibilities
- Encourage creative problem-solving and exploration of new technologies
- Drive strategic cross-divisional/group projects and initiatives
- Develop and cultivate interaction with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Develop and implement projects aimed at creating innovative products focusing on innovation and execution
- Lead our technical and patent landscape expansion
- Lead and mentor a team of scientists, aligning their work with department plans and business priorities
- Drive the development and implementation of effective working processes, continuously focusing on removing execution barriers
- Prioritise and plan projects, including project timelines, technology requirements, potential risks, and financial considerations.
Qualifications
- PhD + 4 years with a consistent track record of an academic career within the area of Chemistry preferably polymer/particle technology and/or synthetic organic chemistry.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on people management, goal setting, and building successful teams
- Previous experience from relevant industries is preferred
- Experience from Life Sciences workflows and applications is an advantage (e.g proteomic, genomics, synthetic biology etc)
