Position Summary:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior FP&A Financial Analyst. In this role, you will collaborate with senior leaders to analyze data, prepare financial reports, and forecast business performance. Reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager for CSD, you will also work closely with the LSG Emerging Markets Business. We are looking for someone with strong business sense, a passion for data analytics, and the ability to thrive in a complex, highly-matrixed environment.
Our FP&A team plays a meaningful role in helping Thermo Fisher to achieve our mission: enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer! We need your expertise in supporting the collection, analysis, and management of quantitative financial data in a fast-paced environment as we build information to support business decisions!

What you will do:
- Lead on the forecasting, planning, and analysis processes to support commercial business partners and partner at a senior leadership level - collating information, challenging numbers and distilling key points to summarise back to partners.
- Build, distribute, and manage a complete set of standard and custom analytical and financial reports, including revenue forecasts, for senior leaders and global commercial needs.
- Apply automation and continuous innovation in your field to improve business processes, creating effective reporting tools for finding opportunities to cut costs and boost efficiency.
- Business partnering with key internal collaborators and providing commercial support to functional teams as needed.
- As an analyst, remain agile and able to prioritize and provide level-headed guidance, even during unexpected events.
Who we are looking for:
- Advanced Excel proficiency is essential, with experience in Cognos, Power BI, or SQL preferred.
- Proven financial abilities, including familiarity with concepts of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, as well as root cause data interpretation.
- Highly analytical and curious, possessing a strong business sense
- Great teammate with strong work ethics, customer-focused and deeply connected to the company's values.
- Combining professional proficiency with an ability to develop new insights and creative solutions; you also have a track record of implementing these successfully.
- Organised multitasker, prioritising workload and enabling you to deliver on time while achieving results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to constantly evolving situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and partners.
- University-level qualification in Finance, Business, Statistics, Economics, or Maths preferred, or 3+ years' experience in an FP&A or commercially facing role is preferred.
- Ability to commute to one of our offices
