Job Description

We seek a hands-on Finance professional with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills to support the Laboratory Equipment Division (LED) - Service EMEA leadership team as a Senior Financial Analyst. The Service business resides within Instrument and Enterprise Services (IES) and has reporting responsibilities with LED, which allows for excellent exposure across multiple divisions, leadership teams, and finance colleagues.

In this role, you will focus on core FP&A activities such as monthly business reviews (MBR), forecasting/planning, month end close processes and ad hoc analysis. You will use a broad range of financial tools including SAP ERP system, Microsoft Excel (including ERP add-ins) and Power BI improve financial reporting and enable better understanding of the key business trends & dynamics. You will support the regional PPI team to standardize processes, build new efficiencies and apply financial analysis to support business growth.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for consolidating EMEA LED Service financials for weekly pacing calls, monthly business reviews, 5-Year Strategic Planning (STRAP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
  • Primary business partner for EMEA Sales and Field Service teams. A strong candidate will be excited to learn the business and advise on key financial topics (investments, projects, risk analysis and more).
  • Develop reporting solutions that set the standard in terms of analytical insight and user experience.
  • Present financial results in weekly pacing calls and MBR's. Desire to improve reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Build financial models to support Product Management/Marketing org related to New Service Introductions (NSI's) and marketing campaigns.
  • Lead projects in partnership with service org, IT, Global Business Services (GBS), Controllership and others.
  • Leverage SAP ERP system to pull data and prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Champion PPI projects to drive process and efficiency improvement. Develop and implement meaningful financial metrics, partner on implementation, and measure results.
  • Ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams.
  • Support other EMEA FP&A teams with analytics and reporting on IES-specific requests.
  • Partner with HR & functional owners for monthly headcount reporting clarity and planning.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business, math or computer science.
  • 3 years of experience within Finance/Accounting. (Service experience preferred)
  • 1 year of experience in financial ERP system SAP PR1.
  • Outstanding quantitative and analytical capabilities with Microsoft Excel
  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a highly matrixed environment.
