Job Description

The Senior Specialist in EHS serves as an advisor to the leadership team and functional managers regarding EHS aspects. This position directly reports to the EHS manager. This role is to ensure effective communication of pertinent EHS requirements to various functions and facilitate their implementation.

KEY Responsibilities:

• Ensure site is aligned with environmental regulatory requirements.
• Facilitates Environment impact assessments.
• Monitors company environmental performance in accordance with IPPC permit conditions.
• Coordinates local packaging reporting activities.
• Supports site by conducting peer reviews and audits of EHS Achievement program requirements.
• Supports site efforts in analyzing regional, national, company-specific, and third-party legal requirements relevant to EHS.
• Conducts process improvement activities to improve compliance efficiency.
• Facilitates and coordinates cross-functional projects.
• Functions as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for the site.

• Demonstrated knowledge and application of local and EU EHS legal requirements. Knowledge of OSHA requirements is preferable.
• Knowledge of and application of Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and GMP).
• Degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, or related field preferable.
• Strong personal drive and motivation to reach new objectives and inspire change.
• Indirect management and influencing skills. Relationship architect; able to build a strong network of influential supporters.
• Good planning skills to support Corporate Vision by setting and EHS goals and ensuring objectives are reached.
