The role is based in Brisbane within the Biologics Business Unit, under the Pharma Services Group, one of the fastest growing areas of Thermo Fisher Scientific. We focus on providing development and commercial-scale services which include multiple mammalian cell lines such as CHO, myeloma, hybridoma and PER.C6 for biopharmaceutical and bio-similar products.
Position Summary:
The Senior Administrative Services Co-ordinator will assist in the management of documentation, purchasing, and site technicians/contractors/suppliers related to the engineering maintenance department. In addition, the role is responsible for spares parts and consumables inventory management.
What You'll Do:
- Maintenance planning support.
- Management of contractors in accordance with site procedures ensuring appropriate induction/qualification, permits, training, and licenses are in place.
- Filing, archiving, closing work orders on CMMS.
- Generate purchase requisition and supervise progress until purchase order is approved.
- Handling physical inventory and spares in CMMS.
- Where required, participate in Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) exercises.
- Support implementation of improved documentation practices and control systems which includes filing, archiving etc.
- Supporting documentation related to equipment lifecycle, EH&S, contractor management etc.
- Where required, support of and participation in audit process.
- Any other task assigned by the Supervisor.
Keys to Success:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Experience working within administration of an engineering/maintenance team.
- Experience in EH&S and GMP will assist the incumbent in carrying out duties.
- Knowledge and experience in facilities for manufacturing of biologics desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Guide user of electronic documentation systems.
- Able to work as a team member and independently.
- Experience in multitasking, prioritizing and showing initiative to complete tasks according to company landmarks.
- A track record showing good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a highly sophisticated, frequently changing environment with a wide variety of people and perspectives. Able to operate in a variety of modes as it pertains to risk adjusted Quality oversight models driven by the mode of manufacturing being employed.
- Understanding of the practical application of the principles and practices vital to be successful in a highly regulated environment.
- Other Job Requirements include enforcing to EH&S policies and procedures and ensure a safe and balanced workplace environment.
