Job Summary:

The Senior Business Manager will join our existing team at Swindon and will take ownership managing dedicated key commercial customers or development projects. You'll be the main point of contact between the site and your customers/projects.

Due to the nature of the role, it would suit someone who either has previous experience or a curiosity about contracts as you will be regularly be referring back to these in relation to pricing, supply & demand and SLAs.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain contractual oversight of customer accounts for the Swindon site throughout their development and during commercial lifespans.
  • Coordinate the budgeting process and forecast potential revenues based on project plans and forecasts of commercial products.
  • Advise and handle the resolution of critical issues related to cost, quality and delivery of product to completion, whilst protecting Patheon interests and image.
  • Build, develop and be a great partner with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with European Business Development in handling new business opportunities in respect with Patheon commercial strategy by assisting with strategy, effective planning of current and new projects, agreeing new orders, defining prices and finalising commercial opportunities. Effective team/staff leadership and communications in line with GMP requirements and company procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate staff succession, training and development programs are in place and implemented to assure proficiency (suitably qualified and expert personnel) and support the achievement of objectives.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and follow all company rules, policies, and procedures.

Experience we're looking for:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering, scientific fields and/or Economics.
  • Previous experience within a senior business management, key account management role would be an advantage.
  • Experience or understanding working with contracts would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ideally has experience as a program manager or portfolio management.
  • Has successfully worked alongside clients in a commercial fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in client management, sales or marketing and in developing long-term business relationships.
  • Experience in Project Management and Technology Transfer of pharmaceutical products is desirable but not crucial.
