Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Scientist III, Field Applications at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., you will have a unique opportunity to drive excellence in customer applications and technical support throughout the pre-sales and post-sales processes. Your role will involve providing expert guidance and assistance to customers, ensuring flawless installation, training, and troubleshooting of our systems. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with customers to identify market opportunities and develop and commercialize new applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accompany Sales Representatives to provide technical and applications expertise in response to customer inquiries.
  • Perform product demonstrations in the field or lab to showcase the capabilities of our systems.
  • Prepare and deliver seminars to customers, potential customers, and employees, sharing insights and knowledge.
  • Organize and conduct user meetings in the field application, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Attend technical training and scientific meetings to stay updated on new trends, products, and discoveries that may impact our offerings.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Equivalent experience in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field is also acceptable in lieu of a Master's degree or PhD.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in flow cytometry, microplate reader, HCS, and microscopy.
  • Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
