Position Summary:

We are seeking a Sales Training Specialist to provide training to the MSD global commercial team in APJ and China. This role is within the Global Training and Enablement team, supporting EM Sales and Sales Operations.

You will collaborate with global teams at MSD to implement, evaluate, and complete the training programs while also developing and training individual sales processes for the region. The training programs will be crafted, provided, and managed using a combination of e-learning and live sessions. This individual will also serve as a project manager for specific and strategic opportunities.

Success will be defined through training evaluation data, training-related indicators like proficiency/competency assessment, and other relevant parameters.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the training efforts for the sales organization, especially within the APJ and China regions
  • Assist in crafting and managing training programs and tools, including Onboarding programs, sophisticated curriculum trainings, and other critical annual and ad hoc programming
  • Ensure resources are in place and processes are established, maintained, and monitored with the APJ and China region for the tender and broader sales processes
  • Ad hoc support across the MSD organization

Essential Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must have a recognized training qualification or have worked in a dedicated sales training role within a related industry for at least three years
  • Have experience working with Sales processes in APJ and/or China
  • Must be able to deliver training sessions confidently and effectively in virtual and in-person settings
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and proficiency in English and Mandarin
  • Must have a proven track record of collaborating with various collaborators.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and manage time effectively
  • Managed within a Learning Management System (LMS)

Desirable Requirements:

  • Sales experience with a preference for capital equipment sales
  • Project management experience
  • Certification to deliver the Korn Ferry/Miller Heiman methodologies (SSwP and/or CSwP)
  • Solid understanding of content creation software like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar
