Internal Job Title: Reporting Analyst III
Position Summary:
The Reporting Analyst III will play a pivotal role within Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., ensuring flawless execution of reporting activities within the Order-to-Cash (OtC) department. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue daily/monthly reports that support tracking and analysis of critical metrics.
- Gather and analyze business data to support OtC strategic decision-making.
- Support the regular month-end close reporting, ensuring complete, high-quality reports for business reviews.
- Develop, standardize, and improve regular analyses and reports to share business and financial insights, supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and forecasting processes.
- Combine and analyze various data sources effectively to generate insights, identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential risks against key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with key internal partners to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Support Finance leadership to meet divisional finance reporting and analysis requirements.
- Consistently meet assigned targets and fulfill Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with company policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Lead improvement projects in reporting and analytics.
- Drive a culture of continuous process improvement within the team.
- Partner with the Automation team, coordinating efforts in OtC-related projects.
- Coordinate with Internal and External Audit teams to facilitate testing procedures.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Effective and confident communication skills for interacting with various levels of internal and external customers.
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently to resolve complex issues.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities and strong analytical abilities.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to train and mentor newcomers.
- Good understanding of process improvement methodology.
- Proficient in English.
- General understanding of shared services or finance departments.
- Proficiency with data extraction, analysis, reporting, and visualization tools.
- Experience in SQL and working with databases and data structures is required.
- Working system knowledge of ERPs such as Oracle E1 and SAP.
- Excellent digital literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
