Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and exceptional technical skills to join our team as a PDS QC Equipment and Lab Services Specialist - Intern. Purposes of the position/responsibilities:
Based on the instructions received from the PDS Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following tasks and activities:
Optimal Planning and Quality Standards
- Optimally plan daily activities in accordance with priorities defined by the Supervisor and the company's quality standards.

Management and Calibration
- Contribute to the proper management and calibration of laboratory instruments, adhering to established methods and current regulations, laws, and GMP standards.
Software Management
- Contribute to effectively managing analytical software while adhering to logical security procedures, as well as applicable regulations, laws, and GMP standards.
Documentation and Traceability
- Ensure accurate management of relevant documentation, from receipt to control, archiving, and traceability, following current procedures and company quality standards.
Training and Procedures
- Contribute to the technical training of laboratory personnel during their induction phase, in line with company standards.
- Assist in updating procedures related to the area of competence by drafting and revising them as needed, in compliance with current regulations, laws, and GMP standards.
External Assistance and Feasibility
- Manage external assistance contracts for Quality Control instrumentation and lead all aspects of the activities of external technicians.
- Contribute to feasibility assessments for new projects concerning laboratory instruments.
Equipment Evaluation
- Participate in evaluating the need for purchasing, replacing, or retiring laboratory equipment.

Requirements and qualifications: essentials
Studies / Diploma / Training courses:
Equivalent experience in Chemical Expertise or Chemistry / CTF will also be considered.
Technical and IT knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of the most common analytical techniques and required instrumentation
- Familiarity with company procedures and GMPs
- Understanding of laboratory computer concepts and programs
- Proficiency in data management and evaluation systems
Professional experiences:
Experience in an analytical laboratory or a laboratory of pharmaceutical technology
Languages:
Proficiency in English
