How will you make an impact?
The Material Planner II schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. This role is also responsible for determining material requirements from engineering and production schedules, coordinating the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.
What will you do?
- Use MPS/MRP to drive materials planning and ordering of raw materials
- Maintain key item settings in ERP System to ensure accurate system functionality
- Handle push-in / push-out of material delivery dates in coordination with Purchasing Team
- Raise backorders or supplier performance issues to Purchasing Team
- Ensure accurate rolling component forecasts are available to support strategic sourcing process and ongoing communication on future needs with our suppliers
- Provide inputs for Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales, Inventory & Operations (SIOP) Meeting to facilitate discussions about Excess & Obsolete inventory and key shortages / excess
- Coordinate closely with Operations and Manufacturing Planning to optimize schedule adherence
- Engage in continuous improvement activities
How will you get here?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience
- Proven expertise in ERP/MRP Planning systems, including all relevant planning parameters such as inventory controls, replenishment, warehouse management and procurement functionality in ERP.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of planning and purchasing systems.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate critical information.
- Good problem solving and reasoning skills to deal with problems varying in complexity relative to job level.

Preferred Qualifications and Requirements
- APICS certification.
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification
