The Materials Planner is responsible for the preparation of production schedules while managing variances such as customer specifications, line efficiency, available parts and raw materials, and delivery expectations.

This position will serve our Air Conditioning Division, located in Fort Smith, AR. This is an on-site position and you will perform this job entirely at our Fort Smith office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Oversee the preparation and release of assigned production schedules and work orders to meet customer specifications and requirements.
• Perform maintenance of production schedules and work orders as to accuracy, dependability and efficiency.
• Maintain, monitor and coordinate acceptable inventory levels based on marketing forecast and usage history.
• Coordinate the communication of schedules with production department and material control.
• Maintain internal control of assigned schedules to determine that all orders are accounted for on a daily basis.
• Assist in the development and recommendation of strategies to improve manufacturing's ability to react to and accommodate schedule changes with minimum disruption and loss of efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
WHAT YOU NEED:
• Bachelors Degree in related field.
• 3+ years of experience in materials planning
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.
• Demonstrated capabilities in planning, organization, integration, and control with respect to the material planning function.
HOW TO STAND OUT:
• Experience in MRP systems or lean manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to develop forecast, implement JIT and Kanban Systems preferred.
