Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and diligent individual to join our supply chain department as a Material Planner. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products through our value chain. Your responsibilities will include identifying and analyzing trends, conducting shortage inventory analysis, and coordinating with various teams to optimize processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Monitor and analyze supply chain trends, and work closely with the Demand Management team to reflect these trends in the demand signal. This includes analyzing market conditions, customer demands, and internal factors affecting the supply chain.

2. Perform routine analysis of inventory levels to identify slow-moving or obsolete items. Recommend appropriate actions, such as inventory reduction strategies, product phase-outs, or alternative sourcing options.

3. Collaborate with the procurement and planning team to call out any changes in purchasing conditions, such as minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times, or other factors that may impact the value chain. Ensure timely system maintenance to give visibility of these changes.

4. Identify critical parts that may lead to shortages and work with planning teams to implement the best strategies to minimize or eliminate shortages. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to find alternative solutions or bring up issues to ensure timely resolution.

5. Use the SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to generate and place POs to suppliers based on demand signals. Secure necessary approvals for pending requisitions and POs to maintain efficient procurement processes.

6. Analyze purchase requisitions and align them with the delivery schedule according to demand and planning in SAP. Ensure accurate execution of orders to maintain optimal inventory levels.

7. Monitor and run suppliers' delivery dates by pulling in or pushing out deliveries as per SAP signals. Keep information updated in SAP, including confirmations and order action messages, to ensure accessibility and clarity for all team members.

8. Prioritize critical parts and expedite their delivery to support critical product lines needed for production and order fulfillment. Collaborate with suppliers, provide solutions, or raise issues to cross-functional site teams and category managers as needed.

9. Monitor receipt of items and resolve shipment errors: Compare received items with the items ordered and delivered. Resolve any shipment errors or discrepancies with suppliers to ensure accurate and timely receipt of materials.

10. Implement rejected material and maintain supplier alignment: Ensure timely execution of rejected materials to suppliers. Maintain strong alignment with suppliers for replacement parts or new order placements to minimize disruptions in the value chain.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, information science, business or a related field.
- Validated experience in material planning.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in SAP or other relevant ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to develope with multiple teams and suppliers across the globe.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet timeframes in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.

- Self-starter with ability to work independently and handle priorities effectively
