We are offering a position for a
Master thesis - R&D Molecular Biology
In this position as a Master student (m/f/d) in our Molecular Biology R&D group, you will complete your master's thesis working on a project aiming to develop novel processes and technologies in the field of gene synthesis. We are a spirited, innovative, and interdisciplinary team supported by external partners.
A day in the Life
- Supporting R&D projects in the field of gene synthesis
- Design, planning and execution of experiments and documentation of the results
- Analysis of results and generation of presentations
- Literature research related to the project
Keys to Success
- Currently enrolled in a study course to obtain a master's degree (M.Sc.) in the life sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology or equivalent) or chemistry
- Practical experience with methods in molecular biology (PCR, cloning technologies, sequencing, gene synthesis, protein expression etc.) and/or in organic chemistry
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- An analytical and creative approach to problem-solving, high degree of self-motivation
- Experience with Design-of-Experiments (DOE) is a plus
- Good English language skills, German language skills desirable
