The Market Development Manager is responsible for overseeing market development activities with a focus on the clean energy sector, including battery, solar cell, and hydrogen segments. Key objectives include defining and driving strategies for key opinion leader (KOL) development, gathering voice of customers for clean energy product development, and leading clean energy events to generate leads and grow the sales pipeline.

This role will involve working with different cross-functional teams within the AIG to drive the clean energy materials and structural analysis division (MSD) business growth within the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

A day in the Life:

  • Accompany business development managers and account managers on customer visits to provide technical sales support for solution promotion
  • Develop relationships with clean energy key opinion leaders in the target region
  • Develop annual marketing strategies with regional marketing teams to promote clean energy solutions, including organizing workshops and seminars
  • Key customer visits for voice of customer collection in support of product development
  • Develop sales support materials for solution promotion
  • Present technical papers at professional symposia, author technical articles
  • Develop, present, and coordinate regional training programs for the sales force to advise them of strategies, new products, enhancements and customer-focused solutions

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in clean energy or electron microscope/XPS segments where leadership is required.
  • Experience working in a matrix-structured organization collaborating with global commercial, operations, and marketing teams

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of various analytical characterization techniques, particularly in electron microscopy, XPS, and CT, and their application in the clean energy sector, is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skill both written and oral in English
  • Systematic problem-solving by working with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • MS or PhD in a materials science, physics, or electrochemistry field is preferred
  • Ability to travel within region and internationally >25%
