Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Technician II to join our world-class manufacturing team in Birmingham. As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the flawless production of our innovative products.

Responsibilities:

  • To work within the team primarily focusing on manufacture and in process testing i.e. in-vitro diagnostic devices.
  • To ensure that allocated equipment is maintained, and all manufacturing processes are followed using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and any in-process testing is carried out in accordance with the required protocols.
  • To support other areas of the business when required, to help ensure the delivery of products to the required Quality, Right First Time, On Time and in full.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Manufacturing Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to determine root causes of technical issues
  • Motivated individual with a strong desire to consistently enhance processes
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
