As Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the functionality of manufacturing equipment and processes as well as the development and implementation of innovative solutions to improve production, quality and productivity at our Langerwehe facility. In this role you will have frequent interactions with the Product Management , R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to interpret and ensure customer requirements as well as all regulatory requirements are met.
A day in the Life:
- Working directly with the manufacturing team to support existing equipment
- Designing, reviewing, and approving manufacturing/production processes
- Modifying equipment and processes to accommodate new products and improve safety, consistency, and yield
- Generating working mechanical and electrical drawings with part specifications
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for change-over time reduction
- Assist colleagues in establishing lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Maintain and extend practical process improvement
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical or Plastics Engineering.
- Master's degree a plus. Alternatively, you have 5+ years' experience as technician (Maschinenbau Techniker*in)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD System
- Experience and effective skill working in an ERP or other related system a plus
- Very good oral and written communication skill in German and English.
- Shown ability to work as a team member or independently and to handle time optimally
- Project management skills and knowledge of applicable tools
