Job Description

This position is based on our site in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. With 1,900 employees worldwide working with these products, and 1,000 in Sweden, we are the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.

About the Role

This outstanding opportunity allows you to lead a dynamic team of up to 10 dedicated professionals in the production of specialized and small-volume products. As the Manager, Manufacturing Small Scale, you will coordinate the coupling of bulks in a manual and laboratory process, ensuring flawless execution and outstanding quality. This role is pivotal in maintaining our world-class standards and meeting the ambitious targets set for our small-scale manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team in an encouraging a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Coordinate the manual and laboratory production processes to ensure flawless execution and quality.
  • Successfully implement process improvements and innovations to optimize manufacturing efficiency
  • Monitor production schedules and strictly adhere to timelines to meet production targets
  • Ensure all manufacturing activities align with safety and regulatory standards
  • Determine resource needs and allocate them effectively to meet production demands
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development for team members

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing role, preferably in small-scale production
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster collaboration and inclusion
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish
  • Equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
