Job Description

This position is in Pittsburgh, PA supporting the Customer Channels Group (CCG) Business as a Finance Manager on the Global Profitability Improvement (GPI) team. We work in the office 4 days a week with 1 flexible work day from home.

How you will make an impact:

This role will lead & run two key functions within CCG Finance that are highly visible & impactful.

  • Facilitate & Drive profitability/efficiency metrics across the CCG business through collaborative business partnerships and in-depth data analysis using the principles of Activity Based Management/Activity Based Costing (ABM/ABC).
  • Ensure CCG is honoring all our contractual obligations throughout the life cycle of our agreements and driving recommendations for improvements & defining standard policies.

In addition, this role will also handle the day-to-day roles & development of two employees.

  • Business Analyst III - Responsible for our Financial data model maintenance/updates, monthly close, and end-user support with our P&L or Proforma queries and templates.
  • Finance Analyst II - Responsible for maintaining a contract repository & conducting a comparative analysis between our contractual terms and the implemented system terms.

What you will do:

  • Drive profitability and productivity gains for the CCG business by partnering with multiple business functions to discuss recent business performance, evaluate analytical capabilities, provide solutions and/or make recommendations to support the business
  • Lead monthly close tasks for the North American CCG Activity Based Model (ABM)
  • Lead ABM Life-cycle and work with IT liaison to upgrade/expand current ABM application platform
  • Drive improvements and recommendations for compliance audits, P&L Analysis and Proforma Development.
  • Improve the ABM experience for 100+ end-users with regular training, meetings, and data/process improvements.
  • Perform large volume data analysis and leverage strong business insight to translate results to key decision makers
  • Maintain documentation for all procedures & technical components associated with ABM & Compliance initiatives.
  • Provide decision support for contractual risks, tracking corrections, and communicate concession opportunities.
  • Proprietor of all contract files repositories, data management procedures, tracking, and change logs.
  • Help facilitate any contractual inquiries for account owners, legal colleagues, auditors, and commercial partners.

How you will get here:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance field

Experience

  • 7+ years of meaningful work experience in finance, operations, data science, project management, or related fields
  • Previous experience in either Project Management, IT development, Information Systems, RFP's, Compliance, Pricing, P&L analysis, Proforma development, or FP&A.
  • Technical Skills in MS-Office 365 suite and Experience with SQL, Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, or similar analytical, and/or visual tools is a plus
  • Previous People Management experiences or financial modeling techniques are preferred
  • Prior experience in a large global company and highly matrixed organization

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Solid understanding of financial concepts, financial analysis, and operational modeling skills. Experience with activity-based management a plus
  • Ability to read and understand user documentation and SOPs
  • Strong grasp of relational Database systems, designs, and queries.
  • Ability to learn & comprehend basic programming concepts, functions, and syntax.
  • Ability to streamline tasks/data processes, perform detail analysis & reports, and lead changes.
  • Sophisticated MS Excel skills are required; Experience with other relevant financial systems and applications is highly valued.
  • Experienced in process automation using queries, stored procedures, and job scheduling
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills. Attention to detail and consistently delivering high quality work
  • Organized multitasker: you prioritize your workload, in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Superb communication and presentation skills to communicate analysis and recommendations in concise insightful manner
  • Data management experience and the ability to run large sets of data and accurate reports
  • Strong team building skills and the shown ability to work with a diverse group of people even if geographically dispersed
  • Self-motivated, higher level of flexibility and good work ethic with the goal to get the job done
