Thermo Fisher Scientific is a fast paced and stimulating environment that values performance, quality and innovation!

As an inside sales account manager, the primary functional objective is direct contact with customers, initiate and develop relationships, which will ultimately generate sales!

The portfolios you will sale are: Molecular Biology, Cellular Culture, Cellular Analysis (Microscopy, Cytometry...) and Protein Biology for the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystem brands (Life Technologies SAS entity). That includes reagents and instruments.

The position is permanent and based in our Villebon office.

Accountabilities

  • Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers and successfully sale the company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan.
  • Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relation's management software (Sales Force CRM) and coordinate sales processes for assigned accounts within your sales territory.
  • Handle and close sales leads generated by colleagues in Marketing and Technical Support teams.
  • Regularly communicate (oral + written) on successes, failures, good practices, to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organization
  • Contact research scientists at all accounts to discover their needs/painful points, share product information and build sales presentations.
  • Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns and special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills
  • Be in close contact with your customers by remote ways (Teams, mail, phone) for 80% of your time and face to face interactions (booths, meetings, demonstrations) for 20% of the time.
  • Edit quotations within Company Guidelines to generate revenues.
  • Provide sales forecast for assigned territory to support business understanding.

Knowledge and skills

  • Master or PhD within Life Sciences required
  • Sales demeanor: strongly motivated by targets
  • Strong communicator: able to engage and influence at all levels
  • Demonstrate a positive behavior and desire to succeed
  • Ability to prioritize time optimally and complete tasks required
  • At ease with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar required
  • Proficient in French and in English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to function optimally in a high-performance team
  • Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a constant evolving business environment
  • Initial business experience in sales or any other customer-facing role in Life Science industry or other is an advantage but not required
  • The ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously, meet timelines and attest that you can be reliable in terms of communication and in your actions
