As a Tool Room Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the flawless operation of our manufacturing processes, contributing to our world-class products that make a positive impact on a global scale. A Day in the Life:
- Supervise work orders to ensure efficient operations in the Tool Room.
- Track and manage the red zone to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use hand tools with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide support to the process team for seamless production.
- Repair and maintain tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Clean tools thoroughly before sending them to the machine.
- Perform preventive maintenance routines and maintain accurate documentation.
- Operate tool shop equipment with precision and expertise.
- Implement and maintain 5S practices in the tool room and tool shop.
- Organize and store tools in racks for easy accessibility.
Keys to Success:
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ Years of Injection Molding Toolroom preventive maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting safety rules, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations and measurements.
- Excellent problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
- Strong emphasis on collaboration, achieving outcomes, and demonstrating leadership abilities.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in multi-cavities tools, hot runner systems.
- The ability to disassemble, clean, inspect, measure, reassemble different injection molding tools.
