Location/Division Specific Information:
We, Fisher Clinical Services GmbH, as part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, are tirelessly committed to clinical research and patients around the world.
With almost 200 employees in Germany, we are the market leader in clinical supply chain management services and trial sample manufacturing for global clinical trials at our Weil am Rhein and Rheinfelden sites. We support our customers in the primary and secondary packaging of clinical drugs as well as in storage, distribution, logistics, cold chain management and the procurement of comparators and additives. We also support our customers with import and export services as well as first-class services for direct sales to patients.

Job Summary:
The IT Analyst will support local end-users and provide services to the Thermo Fisher location in Weil am Rhein and Rheinfelden. They will install, configure and coordinate local & remote PC hardware (incl. peripherals) and client applications in a Windows environment. They will also provide consistent levels of service through SLAs and effective IT support for site business activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain end-user support (2nd / 3rd Level) and system availability within predefined timeframes
  • Protect data, system security and data privacy
  • Assist with IT projects and rollouts
  • Work with or in regional or global IT teams on specific IT subject areas (regional EU, international)
  • Keep IT management up to date on progress and occurrence of any issues at supported sites
  • Provide agreed IT services for one or more sites
  • Supervise and track work requests for meeting SLAs, with regard to due dates and other priorities, in order to meet customer needs
  • Participate in quality solution and improvement processes to resolve common user requests and issues
  • Assist with any infrastructure changes to improve performance, cost, or functionality
  • Call out problems as vital
  • Participate in site compliance, especially with regard to IT directives, policies and initiatives
  • Assist the local business leaders with coordinating business and IT support activities
  • Keep track of IT inventory (Hardware, Software Licenses) and validation status
  • Maintain IT related documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or Engineering, certified IT specialist or comparable
  • Profound experience in desktop support, system integration or comparable areas
  • Proven ability preferably in medium to large sized companies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Customer focused demeanor
  • Excellent German and good English language skills (spoken & written)
  • Confirmed team working ability
