Reports To: FP&A manager

Position Summary:

The position is a key role to lead all FP&A activities for one of business divisions of Life Science Solution Group (LSG) in Thermo Fisher scientific in Japan. As a strategic business partner, the position will closely work with a senior director level Commercial in Japan as well as regional Finance counterparts for assigned business divisions and gives to the business divisions' performance improvement by providing informative financial analysis and support for execution.

Job Responsibilities

Support leading and handling financial planning and review processes:

  • Forecast, track, analyze revenue and P/L as well as preparing monthly/quarterly business review package
  • Supervise performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variance
  • Connect with Commercial leader for financial performance
  • Measure and find opportunities to improve financial performance
  • Support preparing annual operating plan, monthly and mid-term forecasts, and long-term strategic plan
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support critical initiatives
  • Perform complex financial analysis to support management decision making process
  • Liaise with Global division/Commercial/Finance and APAC Commercial/Finance teams

Qualifications: (Preferable/not required)

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, or equivalent knowledge
  • Demonstrated abilitys in FP&A or Commercial Finance roles
  • Detailed understanding in financial accounting
  • Strong command in English and Japanese
  • Hands-on experience in ERP (SAP/Oracle) and analytical tools (Hyperion)
