Job Description
Role : Director, APJ Field Service (Band 9)
Position summary
This leadership position is responsible for the APJ P&L (>$200M Ann. Revenue and 320+ experts) field service delivery field service execution. Services include, but are not limited to instrument installation, validation, spare parts support, and field maintenance service activities for Thermo Fisher's Electron Microscopy (EM) products. You will beaccountable for supporting the development and executing of the APJ services strategy through leadership and collaboration of a cross functional team with functional support from Commercial, Marketing, IT, HR and Finance organizations.

In this position, you will partner with the MSD Business Units, Account Management and various Service functions and support teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for full APJ P&L to deliver commitments including organic growth, profitability and cash flow for EM services.
Identify existing / future Customers needs and recommend solutions to address these successfully.
Responsibility for APJ Field Service Operations, Service Delivery
Ensure alignment and collaboration with other regional Service Operations in meeting and exceeding AOP and support our customer first strategies.
Partner in the creation of standard work and management dashboards
Communicate operational and strategic performance, embracing our culture of continuous improvement through our PPI (Practical Process Improvement) business system quickly and effectively.
Establish and build relationships with Thermo Fisher Scientific peers and ensure strategic and operational alignment across regions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree required: an MBA or equivalent.
Working experience is strongly preferred, services background preferred.
Demonstrated ability in an applied Industry, including a background in service operations, marketing, sales, and business development.
Demonstrated success managing a P&L, and leading businesses to profitable growth and market share penetration.
Ability to identify customers' needs and provide solutions exceeding expectations.
Experience and proven ability to work efficiently in an international environment.
Experience working in a multinational company with demonstrated ability to lead effectively and achieve results in a matrixed operating environment.
Proven track record of identifying and delivering year-over-year results.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
