Location: Field Nordic, Remote / Field EMEA Remote

Division: Laboratory Automation

Discover Impactful Work

The main focus of the role is repair, maintenance and installation of Cytomat Products, Laboratory Automation (LAI) products and selected 3rd party equipment at customer sites in Demark and across Europe. A second strong priority is passionate about customer relations' activities intended to generate sales Customer Support Services and Service Contracts to customers in this engineer's area.

A day in the Life:

  • Schedule and Perform on-site maintenance, repair and installation on all Cytomat Products and other LAI system components and instrumentation.
  • Perform on-site training relative to system service, maintenance, and basic operation.
  • Keep track and maintain your local spare part's inventory
  • Ensure that all documentation related to in-house and on-site support activity is completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis. This includes maintenance of electronic files, Field Service Reports, Service Work Orders and Quotes.
  • Diagnose problems over the phone and/or using remote software. Where vital, follow up with on-site work or dispatch third-party service providers for on-site work. Follow up to ensure problems were resolved to the customer's happiness.
  • Actively supervise the status of contract, warranty and time and material installed customers.

Keys to Success

Education

Technology diploma in Mechatronics, Electro-mechanical engineering, Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years practical experience in field service or solving software and lab equipment
  • Validated experience with automation, robots, and/or device instrumentation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • System-level diagnostic skills using inquiries, observations, system schematics & documentation, software tools, and communications / electrical diagnostic aids
  • Multi-disciplinary technical skills / excellent with software, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Computers, serial communications, and software - comfortable with general use of computers, adept with serial communications cabling, Network diagnostics, and have at least a rudimentary knowledge of programming languages to be able to read a program and understand the logic.
  • Wiring and pneumatics (schematics, PLCs, power panels)
  • Mechanical systems (CAD drawings, fasteners)
  • Working proficiency of Momentum software features and operations is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, must have a professional working proficiency in English, additional languages helpful.
