Location:

The ideal candidate will reside in or around the San Francisco Bay Area in California.

How you'll make an impact:

Field Service Engineers (FSEs) are considered "remote" colleagues since they commute daily to customer sites to provide service. As such, FSEs are provided with a Company (Fleet) vehicle to allow for daily travel to multiple customer locations in their defined service area. Overnight travel up to ~10% is required to service customers and participate in training programs.

You will handle various aspects of field service support and customer relationships within our Laboratory Equipment (LE) division. You will provide advanced services on laboratory equipment, including the following:

  • Repair, install, and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment products including temperature control, incubators, centrifuges, cold storage (refrigerators and freezers), and other equipment as needed
  • Schedule and complete detailed preventative maintenance and corrective service to ensure peak uptime of customer equipment
  • Submit expenses and manage trunk stock inventory in a timely and accurate manner

Education

  • Associate degree in Electronics or Engineering or High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3 years of related experience. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Electronics preferred.
  • Accredited trade school certification- HVAC/R or Electronic Technician preferred

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience repairing electrical, mechanical, medical, or laboratory equipment. Knowledgeable with basic test tools such as digital multimeters, thermometers, hand tools, and power tools
  • A minimum of 1 year of customer facing experience
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Refrigeration experience is a plus

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $34.61-$43.75.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
