Location/Division Specific Information:

US - Philadelphia, PA - Remote. Residency in or around Philadelphia, PA is required.

How you'll make an impact:

Field Service Engineers (FSEs) are considered "remote" colleagues since they commute daily to customer sites to provide service. As such, FSEs are provided with a Company (Fleet) vehicle to allow for daily travel to multiple customer locations in their defined service area. Overnight travel up to 30% is required to service customers and participate in training programs.

You will handle various aspects of field service support and customer relationships within our Laboratory Equipment (LE) division. You will provide advanced services on laboratory equipment, including the following:

  • Repair, install, and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment products including temperature control, incubators, centrifuges, cold storage (refrigerators and freezers), and other equipment as needed
  • Schedule and complete detailed preventative maintenance and corrective service to ensure peak uptime of customer equipment
  • Submit expenses and manage trunk stock inventory in a timely and accurate manner

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Electronics preferred. Associate's degree or High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 3 years of related experience will also be considered.
  • EPA Certification required.
  • Accredited trade school certification- HVAC/R or Electronic Technician preferred.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in field service, Depot repair, manufacturing facilities or equivalent, servicing medical devices or laboratory equipment, etc. preferred.
  • 1+ year of customer facing experience preferred
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Strong electronic/electrical and mechanical background with experience in refrigeration preferred
  • Experience working with basic test equipment such as DMM, tachometer, and temperature devices preferred
