Responsibilities:
Provide General EHS advice to the site to meet legal requirements and maintain site EHS Metrics
- Engage with colleagues to drive safety culture improvements, through EHS gemba walks, EHS audits, investigations, huddles and on-the-floor presence.
- Conduct timely investigations, devising corrective actions and ensuring robust implementation;
- Author, review and approve EHS documentation including policies, standard operating procedures, risk assessments, and audit reports as required by the integrated EHS management system.
- Coordinate and deliver active risk management programmes (such as industrial hygiene monitoring and face-fit programmes);
- Lead continuous improvements initiatives (Practical Process Improvement);
- Develop and deliver EHS related training, workshops, and briefing sessions to support the business;
- Perform internal audits of compliance against legislative standards and Corporate policies;
- Ensure ongoing conformance with compliance requirements (e.g. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001);
- Participate and give to compliance audits;
- Lead employee safety representatives (ESRs) group on site;
- Work collaboratively and provide oversight to third part contractors for waste management, occupational health, and security;
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practice requirements and company rules, policies and procedures;
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health;
- NEBOSH Diploma, Environmental Management Degree or similar qualification (Desirable);
- Proven experience of working within a health and safety management team (Essential), with a solid understanding of EHS regulatory frameworks (Desireable);
- Experience in environmental and waste management systems (Desirable);
- Experience in delivering training to internal colleagues (Desirable);
- Auditing and investigation experience (Desirable);
- Computer literate, excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills (Essential).
