The District Sales Managers lead a sales team in a specific area, providing strategic guidance and support to achieve sales goals through mentoring and developing team members. Ideal for experienced sales leaders who excel at leading their team to success.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Mentor the district, guiding the sales team to achieve sales goals and grow the business. Help sales reps create customer-specific action plans.
  • Use available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of supplier and internal resources
  • Perform sales calls and vendor relations with customers and potential customers in the district
  • Stay updated on competitor and industry activity, incorporating relevant data into the business plan. Introduce new products and services.
  • Show initiative to develop programs to drive growth in any economic condition
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files for proper management of district
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations

Keys to Success:

Education

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Science or Business field

Experience

  • 10 years of relevant sales or industry-specific experience, preferably in the lab or healthcare space
  • Strong sales management experience and confirmed leadership abilities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent business skills
  • Advanced selling and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication
  • Able and willing to travel to customer locations
  • Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher values (The Four I's) - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement
  • Must pass required vendor credentialing for hospital and lab access.
