Group/Division Summary: Customer Channels Group (CCG).

Position Summary:

The Director of Supply Chain will lead Supply Chain Planning function across North America, including Supply and Replenishment Planning, distribution requirement planning, demand planning, working closely with the Commercial and Operations teams to provide excellent service to our customers and support revenue generation and profitable growth. You will collaborate and help develop targeted improvement plans for product availability, working capital optimization, and productivity improvement and will lead the Sales and Inventory Operations Planning Process. You will own process improvement, systems and tools optimization, and master data quality enhancement. You will be accountable for annual improvements in the company's Product availability (OTTP/Fill Rate/OTD), Customer Allegiance Score (CAS) for Order Fulfillment, and inventory days of supply (DOS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Supply Chain Managers and Planners in Pittsburgh, PA, and Ottawa, Canada. Develop talent to continuously improve the supply chain function.
  • Empower and inspire the planning organization to provide continuous improvements and optimization of inventory investment while delivering customer service level that meet or exceed customers expectations.
  • Implement the ongoing Supply Chain Strategy in support of the STRAP. Own Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning process development and deployment.
  • Drive a standard inventory planning approach to achieve DOS inventory targets. Take decisions to balance inventory vs. service and cost. Sales forecasting and supply replenishment planning.
  • Performance manages the supply chain critical metrics.
  • Apply continuous improvement tools and processes to drive performance improvement.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or other business management subject area or related field, or equivalent experience. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant supply chain management experience, with at least 5 years of people leadership experience. Experience in Materials Management and Planning, Expertise in Purchasing, Inventory Planning, Demand Planning/ Forecasting, inventory control/ management/ reduction in a high SKU environment.
  • Preferred Distribution experience and exposure to a large distribution/fulfillment network, qualifications include: Six Sigma Green / Black Belt Certification, APICS certification, Experience in GMP, regulated environment (Life Science, Pharma, Med Device, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrates a proactive approach towards achieving goals. Analytical skills to make sound decisions, through the conceptualization and evaluation of different scenarios. Strong discernment and problem-solving capabilities, with direct, applied experience in Supply Chain. Ability to link the critical business supply chain, systems, and processes needed to achieve forecast accuracy. Knowledge of business systems and information technology. Experienced in Advanced Planning System and applying analytical tools and databases experience.
