The Director of Supply Chain will oversee all supply chain management functions at our St Louis facility. This includes planning, purchasing, logistics, and distribution. The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem solver who can develop and implement effective strategies to improve operational efficiency and meet our business objectives. You will be responsible for owning the supply chain organization, implementing supply chain systems, and coordinating processes for cross-site programs. Your main goal will be to improve customer satisfaction and performance in areas such as order fulfillment, material availability, delivery, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies that support business objectives and optimize end-to-end operations. Identify missing processes external to the business unit supply chain.
  • Lead and be responsible for all aspects of the supply chain function, including planning, purchasing, logistics, and distribution supporting NA Biologics manufacturing and development operations.
  • Optimize inventory management processes to minimize costs while maintaining high service levels.
  • Develop and lead a standard Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning process and a demand and supply planning approach.
  • Develop a material flow and availability strategy and measure and improve material availability.
  • Develop a standard inventory planning approach and achieve inventory targets.
  • Improve efficiency and streamline supply chain operations through continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and implement standardized processes and practices, and use scalable tools and technologies across sites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Lead and champion a diverse supply chain team, encouraging a culture of innovation and partnership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in supply chain management, with significant leadership experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience successfully leading in a Supply Chain/Business Development role and/or exposure to BD activities in a business model that emphasizes growth.
  • Strong financial (P&L) and analytical skills; proven record of making well-informed decisions.
  • Strong influencing, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and encourage a diverse team.
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software and systems; SAP system integration experience preferred.
  • Proven track record to develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Experience in a regulated environment (Life Science, Pharma, Med Device, etc.) is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green / Black Belt, and APICS are preferred.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time domestically and internationally.
