Group/Division Summary:
Our Supply Chain team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our customers receive flawless service and world-class products. We are committed to driving continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency across all supply chain functions.
Position Summary:
As the Director, Supply Chain, you will lead a dynamic team to successfully implement and manage all aspects of our supply chain operations. This is an outstanding opportunity to influence our ambitious goals, lead central initiatives, and drive significant impact across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer demand management focusing on timely delivery, product completeness, and high quality.
- Manage material supply, inventory, planning, material/product handling, import/export, and trade compliance.
- Coordinate logistics from product introduction to termination.
- Lead projects and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Champion continuous improvement through the PPI business system.
- Drive innovation in supply chain, planning, warehouse logistics, and inventory management.
- Develop team members' professional growth through goal setting and career planning.
- Manage departmental budget and resources.
- Foster positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with IMS - regulatory, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Complete activities in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley directives.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with a strong customer orientation.
- University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of proven managerial experience in a corporate manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills.
- Proven track record in logistics/supply chain management.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and supply-chain concepts.
- Embracing a continuous improvement approach.
- Ability to drive teams and individuals to excel.
- Stress-resistant and adept at managing multiple functions.
- Experience in crafting departmental budgets and understanding financial principles.
- Ability to work effectively in an international, matrix-organizational setup.
