Laboratory Plastics Essentials (LPE) is a $1B business within the Laboratory Products and Biopharma Services Segment, which offers a broad set of differentiated consumable products primarily serving Biotech, Pharma, Healthcare, Diagnostic and Academic markets. This Finance leader will provide finance and business partner leadership to the global LPE leadership team. You will lead an FP&A team of 3 members along with critical dotted line reporting structures. This role will improve analytics and ensure strong financial controls and timely and accurate financial reporting. In addition, the position holder will provide valuable decision support, identify, and implement operational improvement opportunities and develop a strong finance team. The location of this job is in Rochester, NY or Pittsburgh, PA.

What you will do:

In this role, you are a catalyst to the overall success of the division. Supported by a strong team, you will provide financial planning and analysis leadership to the Division. You will engage with the BU and Regional teams around the world to provide insights into our financial performance and guidance to performance improvements and ways to achieve our annual goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day finance leadership for LPE FP&A and business partnership for the division's operating teams to drive business performance
  • Provide strategic guidance to business partners to capitalize on opportunities
  • Demonstrate extraordinary partnership to operating partners including leading and forecasting operating expense and capital spend
  • Drive monthly forecasting, annual operating plan (AOP), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), Strategic Planning in a matrixed environment, ensuring financial decisions support company STRAP, annual plan, and current market conditions
  • Develop and lead analytical methods for exploratory and explanatory business insights
  • Build and develop a successful team
  • Lead implementation and ongoing management of centralized multi-dimensional ERP and reporting solutions and visualization tools
  • Champion financial operational improvement across the division
  • Support M&A activity

How you will get here:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business-related field required; CPA, CMA, MBA strongly desire

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience applying intellectual curiosity to uncover insights and differentiated outcomes where others could not
  • Highly skilled in use of information technology such as SAP ERP and Hyperion Financial Management, knowledge of relational databases
  • Solid working knowledge of GAAP with public company / corporate finance experience
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills spanning functional and business partners including executive level
  • Well-developed analytical skills, including background in driving actions from data insights and using strong analysis to present a situation to management
  • Self-motivated with a high level of flexibility and a strong work ethic to get the job done

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $145,500.00-$194,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
