Key Responsibilities

As an Accountant II, you will be tasked with a range of essential duties that ensure the financial integrity of our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing detailed financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Assisting with the preparation and coordination of audit processes.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine and implement process improvements.
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure flawless transactions.
  • Conducting variance analysis and providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Supporting the implementation of new accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications

While not strictly required, the following qualifications would set you apart:

  • CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Prior experience in the life sciences or technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives.
