The Seasonal Events Coordinator will collaborate with the Event Planning team to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of seasonal events. This role is integral in ensuring the smooth operation of these events, delivering a high-quality experience for all attendees.
Responsibilities:
- Support the logistical planning of events, including venue research, setup coordination, and breakdown operations.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery and setup of equipment and materials for events.
- Assist in managing event budgets, tracking expenditures, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Help create and distribute event invitations, flyers, and other promotional content.
- Support the registration process by managing attendee check-in and providing necessary information.
- Assist with guest lists, RSVPs, and attendee inquiries to ensure a smooth attendee experience.
- Provide on-site event support, including registration management, attendee direction, and issue resolution.
- Assist in coordinating event activities such as workshops, presentations, and entertainment.
- Collect and summarize attendee feedback for post-event evaluations.
- Contribute to analyzing event performance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A passion for and understanding of books is highly desirable.
- Exceptional writing, proofreading, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events.
- Availability for 20 hours per week during standard business hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts or an MFA is preferred.
- Experience in events, bookstores, or publishing preferred.
- Prior event coordination experience is preferred.

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $19.00 to $20.00 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs. Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position. At the L.A. Times Studios, LLC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
