Under general supervision the Recruitment & HR Specialist will support recruitment efforts and HR strategies by passive candidate sourcing, interviewing talent, advising hiring managers on consistent and equitable candidate evaluation methods, ensuring an exceptional experience and supporting various recruitment project initiatives. This position will maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive and personal information with judgment, tact, and discretion.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver recruiting expertise and consulting by developing, enhancing and following current internal strategies to source, attract, recruit against defined criteria for multiple disciplines.
  • Utilize your digital recruitment toolbox to build successful candidate profiles, clarify required job skills and requirements, while using sourcing strategies and techniques for each job category.
  • Drive and manage the candidate experience throughout the selection process including offer negotiation.
  • Effectively coach hiring managers on interviews and selection process.
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with HR Business Partners to develop recruiting strategies and assess future talent needs.
  • Contribute to successful development and usage of our Talent Acquisition technology platforms.
  • Utilizes our applicant tracking system to maintain candidate information and accurate data for reporting purposes.
  • Responsible for ensuring EEO and recruiting practices are consistently administered throughout the hiring process and documented in the appropriate manner.
  • Participate in HR recruitment projects, which may include system updates or enhancement testing; background check vendor review, process improvement/change documentation for recruitment tracking, and,HR partner and manager education sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in recruitment or a human resource generalist role, preferably with a focus on the media industry, digital advertising and/or sales and marketing.
  • Ability to successfully adapt to a changing environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of recruitment processes and employment law regulations supporting recruitment
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws impacting recruitment, selection and testing
  • Thorough knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams and departments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate individually, employ solid decision-making skills, prioritize, plan and execute multiple assignments.
  • Experience with Human Resources business systems such as Human Capital Management and Applicant Tracking Systems, as well as Microsoft office or Google suite.
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with the standards, practices, policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred - Bachelor's degree, ideally in business administration, marketing, journalism, communications, psychology or similar discipline.
  • HR and/or recruitment experience with Ceridian/Dayforce system

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $35.10 to $39.50 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs. Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position. At the L.A.
