The Ratings & Capital Management team is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Treasury Analyst to join our team. This role reports to the Assistant Treasurer, Ratings & Capital and involves managing debt service and compliance, operational activities related to the organizations share repurchase program, SEC and statutory reporting requirements, and the letter of credit process. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office (Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Key Accountabilities, including, but not limited to:
- Support the management, reporting and payment activity related to the company's share repurchase program, common dividends, debt outstanding and payments related to debt and common stock.
- Support the preparation of quarterly 10K/10Q and Statutory disclosures related to The Hartford's liquidity and capital and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and management of debt servicing schedules and ensure compliance with financial covenants and regulatory requirements.
- Support the letter of credit process, including issuance, amendments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant terms and conditions.
- Maintain the Treasury departments quarterly reporting package, including schedules related to Holding Company resources, dividends and debt, capital management, rating agency updates, and peer analyses for distribution to senior management.
- Support in developing presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Interacts with various disciplines across the company including legal and accounting policy.
- Provide comprehensive support for special projects, ensuring effective coordination and timely execution of project deliverables.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 3+ years of experience in a finance-related role; open to recent college graduates
- Desired majors include, but are not limited to: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Investment Management and Business
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Ability to use data management, including creating pivot tables, lookup functionalities, scenario / sensitivity analyses, etc.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to develop clear and effective presentations
- Self-motivated individual who is able to work independently and possesses very strong organizational skills
- Results oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$56,000 - $108,000
The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
