This role will be supporting the Head of Wholesale & International and the Wholesale CUO/COO. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting executive leaders within a complex financial services organization.

The ability to interact with individuals (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are equally important. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks.
*This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office (Red Bank, NJ) 3-4 days a week with the expectation of coming in any other days as business needs arise.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external constituents
- Effectively manage calendar of appointments by scheduling requests for travel and meetings using appropriate prioritization and decision-making skills to resolve potential schedule conflicts
- Ensure timely submission of all expense reports, in accordance with company policy
- Exceptional customer service skills and proven ability to form networks of individual relationships spanning multiple business units across a large and dispersed organization
- Mature and sophisticated approach to information security, data privacy and confidentiality with the utmost judgment and tact, recognizing any time constraints and implications
- Must understand or be able to develop an understanding of the complex matrix of different levels of required confidentiality and how they differ from person to person and role to role
- Prepare and edit presentation materials and ensure availability. As needed, produce ad hoc reports and manage special projects (outline project needs, work with various groups to acquire necessary data, provide analysis and recommendations)
- Work with the event planning team to coordinate Wholesale Advisory Board and other Wholesale events, and plan on traveling to the venue to support onsite administration and logistics
- Adapt procedures, processes and techniques to the completion of assignments and in line with the department's activities and goals
- Initiate timely response to emails, voicemails, and written correspondence
- Exercise independent judgment, escalating only serious or unique problems to higher levels
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment as a Senior Administrative Assistant, preferably with a minimum of 5 plus years of experience supporting at the Executive level
- Bachelors or Associates degree is preferred, but not necessary.
- A team player with excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills and mastery in planning and organization
- Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex executive meetings
- Individual must possess a high level of initiative and be a self-starter, self-directed, highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
- Highly proficient with the MS Office suite of products including Microsoft Teams
- Efficiency and ability to prioritize are essential
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$64,800 - $97,200
