As a participant, you'll gain first hand exposure to the insurance industry, as well as helpful employer connections. These employees are experts in their field and offer unique insights and perspectives. They will help you:

  • Learn how to align your interests to companies that share your values
  • Identify ways to get the most out of your academic experience so you can maximize your marketability as a candidate
  • Gain insights to position yourself for future internships and full-time jobs

Requirements

  • Freshman level class standing (Anticipated May 2028 graduate)
  • Interest in any of the following career fields: Actuarial Science, Claims, Finance, Technology and Data, Investment Management, Marketing, Operations, Product, Risk Management, Underwriting and other insurance related careers
  • History of strong academic performance
  • Ability to commit to a full-day program over winter break in our Hartford, CT office. Event to take place second week of January 2025. Event date subject to change.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
