Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving growth and building strong partnerships? The Hartford is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Strategic Partnerships to lead our relationships with key HR Technology partners. In this pivotal role, you will develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies, influence key initiatives, and support our Partner Connections leadership team.

The Director, Strategic Partnerships oversees The Hartford's relationships with key HR Technology partners and is tasked with developing and leading comprehensive partnership growth strategies. This pivotal role supports key growth initiatives and influences outcomes as part of the Partner Connections extended leadership team. Successful candidates will excel in strategy development and business analysis, utilizing strong communication and collaboration skills to influence priorities and secure support for enhancing partner relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and oversees growth strategy and acts as the dedicated point of contact on select, strategic HR Tech partners.
  • Responsible to maintain an awareness of the HR technology marketplace and raise awareness on future investment needs within our organization.
  • Responsible to maintain knowledge of competitor carrier technology connections and how they impact our value proposition.
  • Informs The Hartford's investment & development priorities aligned with long-term partnership growth goals, and identifies future opportunities for increasing our focus on select partnerships.
  • Develops & supports business cases to support required partnership investments and connection priorities, and performs analysis on The Hartford's book of business with select partners.
  • Provide expertise, education, and awareness on The Hartford's HR Technology solutions, capabilities, partnerships, and technology roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders and clients.
  • Oversees a team (2-5) responsible for providing ongoing partner relationship management and planning and leading partner stewardship meetings, and for providing education and awareness on The Hartford's HR Technology solutions to internal and external stakeholders and clients.
  • Acts as an input to Marketing to ensure our go-to-market strategy is in line with shared partnership goals and to drive sales growth, customer retention, and carrier differentiation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role at a large public company preferred; other relevant experience considered.
  • This role entails up to 25% travel.
  • Experience in market intel, data analytics, cost-benefit analysis required.
  • Must be a confident, strategic thinker able to influence executive decisions and maintain strong partnerships. Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership and handle sensitive information in a corporate environment.
  • Navigate fast-paced, deadline-driven settings effectively.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$144,000 - $216,000
