Job Opening:

The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks applicants for the seasonal position of Seasonal Recreation Facility Supervisor I, Boat Launch Area.

Duties Include:

Boat Launch Area Supervisors are responsible for operating the Boat Launch Areas according to current policies and procedures.

Duties include the following: collecting fees for boat and motor rentals, launching of private boats, and parking; explaining rules and regulations, answering general questions regarding the use of Quabbin for fishing, and conducting Quabbin Boat Sealing.

Boat Launch supervisor direct rental customers in the safe operation of boats and may be called upon to search for lost boaters.

Supervisors must complete daily routine clean-up and maintenance, maintain boats, and other equipment, assist in landscaping projects, and other duties as required.

Special Requirements:

1. Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

II. Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Standard First Aid and Personal safety Certificate issued by the American Red Cross.

III. Based on assignment, possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operators' License.

IV. Boat Safety Certificate

Qualifications

First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.

Minimum Entrance Requirements: None.

Special Requirements:
