The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM), which oversees over $2 billion in capital programs and projects, is responsible for capital planning, project delivery, property management, and real estate services for the Commonwealth. Position Summary
The Interior Planning, Design, and Management (IPDM) team is a fast paced, high-volume operation that delivers office space move and space planning services, including coordinated office space furniture & equipment installations and relocations. The Revit Assistant/Jr. Space Planner assists the IPDM team's Revit Specialist/Project Managers transitioning to using Revit as a planning tool. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Sr. Project Manager on their active planning projects.
General Statement of Duties and Responsibilities
- Support IPDM team on transitioning into using Revit as the planning tool.
- Support IPDM Project team on project planning/implementations on as needed basis.
- Field verifies and documents existing system and loose furniture inventory for the upcoming potential space planning and furniture procurement projects.
- Retrieves, corrects, modifies, archives, and creates electronic drawings and/or formats new drawings to document departmental and floor plan changes.
- Works with the Leasing Office to verify rentable square feet presented by proposers.
- Assists Project Planner/Manager on projects that require planning, scheming, furniture product research, etc. when required.
- Provides project support by using statewide contracts on Furniture, Healthcare, Tradesperson, Moving services, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent in Revit R2020 and AutoCAD R2020 or later
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SketchUp, Adobe suite, Photoshop
- Effective written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Previous on the job experience
