Position Description
This position involves interaction with attorneys, law enforcement agencies, court personnel, the public, state agencies, and others on a wide variety of issues and supports a wide range of responsibilities. The administrative assistant provides overall critical administrative support to the District Attorney.
This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual that enjoys being part of a fast-paced office, can multi-task, re-prioritize regularly, demonstrates attention to detail and enjoys working within the criminal legal system. The successful candidate will professionally represent the Middlesex District Attorney's Office in communications with other state and local agencies within the scope of this position; exercise maturity, discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information; take initiative when appropriate; and be able to take direction and meet deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities
• Serve as Executive Assistant to the District Attorney. Manages the District Attorney's executive calendars, scheduling meetings and appointments including scheduling internal and external meetings with partners and stakeholders, including elected officials, law enforcement agencies, state and county entities, policy stakeholders and legislators.
• Manage correspondence for the District Attorney including e-mail, written correspondence and the signing of legal and other documents. Screens and prioritizes incoming communications, phone calls, and visitors, redirecting as necessary.
• Provide general administrative support, ensuring an organized and productive workspace
• Manages the District Attorney's professional travel, including conferences, speaking engagements etc.
• Manage general administrative tasks, coordinate communication, and provide office support, including planning and coordinating activities and programs within the building
• Compose and prepare correspondence on behalf of the District Attorney
• Lead various special projects that require analytical, organizational, and technical expertise.
• Handle confidential matters with tact and discretion.
• Work after hours as needed to accommodate the District Attorney's schedule.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to assess and address issues and matters in a timely fashion
• Ability to multi-task, refocus and re-prioritize in a high volume and fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and project completion skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and professional workplace etiquette
• Strong personal character, integrity, judgment and maturity in handling sensitive & confidential matters
• Prior experience working in a professional office environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) Social Media web platforms, I-phone applications and an aptitude for learning new software and systems
