Job Description

Overview:

The Associate Vice President (AVP) for Enrollment Management is responsible for optimizing enrollment in all programs at Salem State University, including undergraduate day, continuing education, and graduate programs. The AVP will develop and implement appropriate strategies to meet enrollment goals in conjunction with University priorities and leadership. As both a strategic leader and hands-on manager, the AVP will provide mentoring, guidance and supervision to a team of enrollment management directors and their staff, to ensure excellent service to prospective and current students. The AVP also serves as a member of a dynamic Division of Student Success leadership team.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in higher education enrollment management leadership including (undergraduate required)
  • Significant experience and proficiency with information technologies including database management
  • Solid higher education industry knowledge including recruitment, marketing, projecting enrollments, admissions and financial aid
  • Proficiency with data analysis and the use of data in decision making
  • Supervisory experience with strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated strategic planning ability

Working Conditions:


This is a hybrid position in Salem, MA with some on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
