Job Description

Overview:

Salem State University is seeking an Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to play a pivotal role in advancing the university's mission. This position leads efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward partnerships with corporations and foundations, securing support through sponsorships, major gifts, and grants. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with university administrators and faculty to build strong relationships, ensuring long-term engagement and impactful contributions that drive innovation and growth for the university.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five or more years of relevant professional fundraising, grant writing and/or business development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with corporate and foundation fundraising and/or higher education.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to articulate a compelling case for philanthropic support.
  • Experience with and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Working Conditions:


This is a hybrid position in Salem, MA with some on-campus, in-person responsibilities.

Office activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and interaction with computer equipment; occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 5-10 pounds.
