The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Commercial Business team is seeking a Senior Manager - Business Development, Commercial Parts to manage a team of analysts and business development professionals in the pursuit of profitable growth in the Parts domain. This position will report to the BGS-C Director, Commercial Parts & BD.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of excellent customer engagement and relationship development, in particular knowledge and understanding of the commercial aviation industry, as well as knowledge of aviation part business. He or she develops and executes integrated organizational strategies, plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees while navigating ambiguous and complex circumstances.

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Develops project or operational plans aligned to Program(s) objectives. Implements plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved. Assigns authority and responsibilities to employees to execute the plan. Reviews plans' execution, makes appropriate adjustments, and resolves issues. Monitors appropriate metrics to ensure performance to plan.
  • Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities. Provides on-going developmental feedback. Recognizes contributions of individuals and teams to improve employee satisfaction and retain a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Conveys organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of workgroup, project or process goals. Proactively communicates with employees, peers, partners and customers. Keeps others informed by communicating project status, conducting and participating in team meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions. Communicates policies and directives to enhance employee awareness of expectations.
  • Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, partners, stakeholders, peers and direct reports.
  • Identifies gaps in the current product portfolio and/or unmet customer needs and develops new offerings through the Gated process that fulfill stakeholder requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management
  • 5+ years of experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with schedule and budget management, integration of all logistics elements, customer communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule and technical baseline requirements are met
