Job Overview

The Aerospace, Defense, & Marine (AD&M) Business Unit within TE is currently seeking a Resident Engineer within the Everett, Washington region. This position has responsibility for handling key customer accounts and the overall day-to-day business relationship between TE and the key customer. This Resident Engineer will be in charge of new product introduction internally and externally speaking about customer requirements along with program timing and deliverables. Also, the Resident Engineer will work together with the TE AD&M team to drive maximum penetration of TE's products.

Please note the Resident Engineer will be remote at Boeings facility in Everett, WA.

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Dedicated Engineering assisting within a Commercial Air Key Account
  • Product Qualification and R&D project Management
  • Product Change Notification / Supplier Change Notification process management
  • Work as a member of the sales team to handle new product introduction and platform launch execution
  • Develop and maintain relationships at multiple levels in the customer base to position TE as a partner to the customer
  • Assist Program / Platform teams in defining requirements, design evaluations, and validation
  • Ability to assist and perform actions according to OEM process
  • Manage weekly open issue meetings internally and externally with Customers
  • Effectively collaborate with all other AD&M team members to promote the business needs of the territory to foster growth
  • Tech Days - Engineering Workshop coordination
  • Informing and influencing TE's growth plan to internal stakeholder

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years directly related experience in the Aerospace Industry
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (internal and external)
  • Clear thinker with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Project Management Experience - facilitating complex projects
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform in a demanding environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence without direct authority
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and computer skills (i.e., Power Point, Excel, Word)
  • Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $102,560 - $153, 840 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
