Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Roles & Responsibility:
- Manage the Purchase Order (PO) fulfilment cycle, from purchase requisition through Goods Receipt in the Regional Distribution Centers.
- Work with suppliers and Global Logistics teams to address incidents or exceptions.
- Troubleshoot, expedite and de-expedite product availability and work with cross-functional teams to meet delivery and inventory KPIs, improving customer service and experience, while optimizing logistics cost, inventory and obsolescence
- Execute and coordinate production priority and supply allocation with Master Production Scheduling, Sales and Product Management under capacity and resource constraint.
- Respond to unexpected event in the supply chain, report and escalate those risks to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Track and improve ship to request and ship to schedule performance.
- Clarify short lead time and abnormal demand with Demand Management, Product Manager, Sales and Customer Service Team.
- Perform and publish root cause analysis on delivery performance KPIs.
- Execute Make-To-Order, Make-to-Forecast and Make-To-Stock strategies.
- Coordinate global stock rebalancing activities.
- Review healthy stock levels, conduct root cause analysis and back to normal actions.
- Speed up maturity of old date code, dead projects and quality issues.
- Define demand & supply characteristics and propose optimize segmentation and planning strategies.
- Track billing and shipping backlog versus forecast.
- Expedite late code and shippable late.
- Initiate measurements of guaranteeing production and customer deliveries in case of shortages and other delivery problems.
Desired Candidate Profile:
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor or master's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Operations, Commerce
- Knowledge in SAP, MS Office, Access, SharePoint.
- Very high customer and service orientation required.
- Knowledge on Supply Chain Management and Sales Operations.
- Very strong Time Management skills
- Fluent English language skills - written and spoken.
- Strong analytical ability to translate data into actionable information.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new requirements (change Management)
- Ability to work in an intercultural and international team.
CRITICAL EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience in Material / Product planning.
- Experience in working with multiple teams globally.

Timeline
TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
